What should I expect when taking Bimuno for the first time?
When you take Bimuno for the first time, it will take 3 days to start feeding your bifidobacteria.
Days 4-7: You may experience some gurgling in your gut. This is a good sign as it means Bimuno is beginning to change your microbiome (the bacteria, yeast and fungi in your gut)
Days 8-14: Your microbiome is now changed and Bimuno is feeding and nurturing your beneficial bacteria Published studies have shown that, with daily use, the majority of Bimuno users experience an increase in their gut bifidobacteria within 7 days, although individual responses may vary.
Day 14 and beyond: Continue to take Bimuno in order to keep feeding your good gut bacteria.
Are there any side-effects with taking Bimuno®?
In the first week of taking Bimuno®, you may experience some stomach gurgling and rumbling which often subsides after a few days.
You may want to consult with your doctor or other healthcare professionals before trying Bimuno® if you suffer from any health problems and/or take prescription medications.
What is the shelf life of Bimuno Immunity?
Bimuno Immunity has a typical shelf life of 36 months. For a specific expiry date see individual pack.
Is it safe to take Bimuno long-term?
Yes, it is safe to take Bimuno long-term. We recommend you take Bimuno as part of your daily routine, in order to support your immunity and give your good gut bacteria a constant source of food.
Can children take Bimuno?
Yes, children can take Bimuno. Bimuno® Immunity is suitable for children aged 4 years and over. Young children should always take Bimuno under the supervision of an adult.
Can Bimuno help with sleep?
The BBC programme “The Truth About Sleep” showed the impact on Dr Mosley of consuming Bimuno®. The programme explained the impact of improving fibre intake
and the positive effect that this has on the good bacteria in your gut and inferred that this may improve sleep patterns. In the programme Dr Mosley discussed how his sleep patterns had improved whilst taking Bimuno in the evening before going to sleep. It should be noted that no formal clinical investigations have been conducted to assess the impact of Bimuno on sleep patterns.
Why is Bimuno Informed Sport certified?
We received a lot of interest in Bimuno from Performance Nutritionists who were looking to recommend Bimuno to their clients, many of whom are professional athletes and therefore must ensure that products they use are Informed Sport certified. Sports people (and nutritionists associated with them) have an extra focus on their gut microbiome as they often have sensitive stomachs due to intense training, restricted diets, stress and overseas travel. Similar to the majority of the UK populations as a whole, their fibre intake through diet does not meet the minimum recommended amount of 30g per day.
