Joe’s Mean Green Smoothie

Want a great kick start to the morning? Joe Cross's Mean Green Smoothie will boost you through the day and more!

If you haven’t come across Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, we would recommend you watch it sooner than later.

We won’t go into the details too much but one thing we love going back to over and over again is a delectable smoothie recipe which basically saved Joe Cross’ life.

Joe recommends having this at least 3 times a week as it is packed with phytonutrients keeping you energised all day!


  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 apples
  • 6-8 leaves kale (Tuscan cabbage)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup (250 ml) almond milk


  1. Wash all produce well.
  2. Peel the lemon, optional.
  3. Juice all produce except the banana.
  4. Add juice into blender with banana and cup of almond milk.
  5. Blend until smooth, about 45 seconds.
  6. Enjoy!
