Symptoms Of Bloating:

Bloating usually happens after eating a large meal. The most common symptoms of bloating are as follows:

  • Stomach pains
  • Changing size in the gut
  • Excessive gas production
  • Tightening feeling in the stomach

What causes bloating?

There are many causes of bloating in the stomach and gut; some are more natural than others meaning many of them can be adjusted to avoid future bloating.

Eating on the move is one of the most common causes. By eating at the same time as walking, you can inadvertently swallow large quantities of air which sits in your stomach and causes discomfort.

Drinking a lot of fizzy drinks also creates bloating. These drinks are full of gases which make your stomach feel full.

Over eating also contributes to this particularly when eating sources of fibrous carbohydrates which are readily fermented in your gut e.g. beans, onion and garlic.

Other medical conditions are also known to create bloating. If you suffer from IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome) or Lactose Intolerance, it is not uncommon to feel bloated.

Tips to help Bloating, are there any cures?

  1. Drink plenty of water – water can help to flush your system of bad bacteria and ensures that your body is flowing in the correct way.
  2. Eat slowly – by eating slowly and chewing your food thoroughly, you are less likely to swallow air. Eating at a table is also recommended.
  3. Exercise – by taking a short walk after a meal, it helps to keep your gut on the move and stops food from lying in your stomach causing discomfort.

Research has now shown that many cases of bloating are linked to the balance of bacteria present in your gut. Certain types of bacteria are much more likely to produce gas as they ferment food than others.  Bimuno increases those types of bacteria than don’t produce gas and helps to reduce those that do.
